The github.com/containerd/containerd/log package was moved to a separate
module, which will also be used by upcoming (patch) releases of containerd.
This patch moves our own uses of the package to use the new module.

Implement a function that returns an error to replace existing uses of
the IsOSSupported utility, where callers had to produce the error after
checking.
The IsOSSupported function was used in combination with images, so implementing
a utility in "image" to prevent having to import pkg/system (which contains many
unrelated functions)

The image store's used are an interface, so there's no guarantee
that implementations don't wrap the errors. Make sure to catch
such cases by using errors.Is.

This code below is run when restoring all images (which can be "many"),
constructing the "logrus.WithFields" is deliberately not "DRY", as the
logger is only used for error-cases, and we don't want to do allocations
if we don't need it. A "f" type-alias was added to make it ever so slightly
more DRY, but that's just for convenience :)

Having this function hides what it's doing, which is just to type-cast
to an image.ID (which is a digest). Using a cast is more transparent,
so deprecating this function in favor of a regular typecast.

opencontainers/go-digest is a 1:1 copy of the one in distribution. It's no
longer used in distribution itself, so may be removed there at some point.

I think this was there for historic reasons (may have been goimports expected
this, and we used to have a linter that wanted it), but it's not needed, so
let's remove it (to make my IDE less complaining about unneeded aliases).

This removes some of the checks that were added in 0cba7740d4,
but should no longer be needed.
- `image/store.Delete()`: no need to validate image platform to delete it.
- `image/tarexporter/takeLayerReference()`: use `image.OperatingSystem()` and
fail early to prevent constructing the `ChainID()`.

This change enables the daemon to automatically select an image under LCOW
that can be used if the API doesn't specify an explicit platform.
For example:
FROM supertest2014/nyan
ADD Dockerfile /
And docker build . will download the linux image (not a multi-manifest image)
And similarly docker pull ubuntu will match linux/amd64
In info, we only need the number of images, but `CountImages` was
getting the whole map of images and then grabbing the length from that.
This causes a lot of unnecessary CPU usage and memory allocations, which
increases with O(n) on the number of images.

This PR has the API changes described in https://github.com/moby/moby/issues/34617.
Specifically, it adds an HTTP header "X-Requested-Platform" which is a JSON-encoded
OCI Image-spec `Platform` structure.
In addition, it renames (almost all) uses of a string variable platform (and associated)
methods/functions to os. This makes it much clearer to disambiguate with the swarm
"platform" which is really os/arch. This is a stepping stone to getting the daemon towards
fully multi-platform/arch-aware, and makes it clear when "operating system" is being
referred to rather than "platform" which is misleadingly used - sometimes in the swarm
meaning, but more often as just the operating system.
Use strongly typed errors to set HTTP status codes.
Error interfaces are defined in the api/errors package and errors
returned from controllers are checked against these interfaces.
Errors can be wraeped in a pkg/errors.Causer, as long as somewhere in the
line of causes one of the interfaces is implemented. The special error
interfaces take precedence over Causer, meaning if both Causer and one
of the new error interfaces are implemented, the Causer is not
traversed.

This showed up in a recent profile.
Search doesn't need to take a lock on the store, because digestset has
its own locking.
Some other methods can get by with a read lock instead of an exclusive
lock.

The `digest` data type, used throughout docker for image verification
and identity, has been broken out into `opencontainers/go-digest`. This
PR updates the dependencies and moves uses over to the new type.

via #21272, this value should be null so that the test passes on non-x86
machines

These fields are needed to specify the exact version of Windows that an
image can run on. They may be useful for other platforms in the future.
This also changes image.store.Create to validate that the loaded image is
supported on the current machine. This change affects Linux as well, since
it now validates the architecture and OS fields.

On migration 2 different images can end up with same
content addressable ID, meaning `SetParent` will be called
multiple times. Previous version did not clear the old
in-memory reference.

The image store abstracts image handling. It keeps track of the
available images, and makes it possible to delete existing images or
register new ones. The image store holds references to the underlying
layers for each image.
The image/v1 package provides compatibility functions for interoperating
with older (non-content-addressable) image structures.
