Image Format Converter

This PHP-based image converter is a handy tool that allows you to easily convert images between various formats, including JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF, and ICO. It's designed to be user-friendly and efficient, making image conversion a breeze.

Installation:

Clone the Repository:

git clone https://github.com/norton287/PHP-Image-Converter-For-The-Web.git

Install Dependencies:

  • This project relies on the GD or ImageMagick library for image manipulation. Make sure you have either of these libraries installed on your server.

You can install them using the following commands (choose one):

GD:

sudo apt-get install php-gd

ImageMagick:

sudo apt-get install php-imagick

Set Up Web Server:

  • Place the project files in your web server's document root.
  • Ensure that your web server (e.g., Apache, Nginx) is configured to execute PHP scripts.

Access the Converter:

  • Open your web browser and navigate to the URL where you've placed the project files.
  • You should see the image converter interface.

Usage:

  • Select Images: Choose the images you want to convert (you can select multiple files).
  • Choose Format: Select the desired output format from the dropdown menu.
  • Convert: Click the "Convert" button to start the conversion process.
  • Download: Once the conversion is complete, a download link will appear. Click it to download your converted images in a zip file.

Additional Notes:

  • The converter creates temporary files during the conversion process. These files are automatically cleaned up after the conversion is finished.
  • If you encounter any errors, check the error messages displayed on the interface for troubleshooting tips.
  • For optimal performance, ensure that your server has sufficient resources to handle image processing.
