  27. <li>Log into the Proxmox web UI</li>
  28. <li>Select a storage from the left navigation pane to download the .iso to</li>
  29. <li>Select ISO Images in the left sub-navigation pane</li>
  30. <li>Upload the MX Linux installation iso to the Proxmox ISO image library</li>
  31. <li>Right click the Proxmox node name &gt; Create VM</li>
  32. <li>Give the VM a unique ID and Name &gt; Next</li>
  33. <li>On the OS tab, Select the MX Linux installation .iso file, leave the Type as Linux and the Version as 5.x - 2.6 Kernel &gt; Next</li>
  34. <li>Leave the defaults on the System tab &gt; Next</li>
  35. <li>On the Hard Disk tab, set the Storage device and Disk size to 30 GiB or more &gt; Next</li>
  36. <li>On the CPU tab, set Cores to 2 or more and Type to host &gt; Next</li>
  37. <li>On the Memory tab, set the Memory to 4096 &gt; Next</li>
  38. <li>Leave the defaults on the Network tab &gt; Next</li>
  39. <li>Verify the summary and click Finish</li>
  40. <li>Right click the MX Linux VM in the left navigation pane &gt; Start</li>
  41. <li>Click console in the left sub-navigation menu</li>
  42. <li>Press Enter to load MX Linux</li>
  43. <li>Click Install MX Linux on the MX Welcome dialog box</li>
  44. <li>Press Escape to cancel checking the installation media</li>
  45. <li>Click Change Keyboard Settings if needed &gt; Click Next</li>
  46. <li>Click Next and then Yes to confirm the partition selection</li>
  47. <li>Enter a computer name, domain and workgroup &gt; Click Next</li>
  48. <li>Select a Locale and Timezone &gt; Click Next</li>
  49. <li>Enter a username, user password and root password &gt; Click Next</li>
  50. <li>Wait while MX Linux copies files and installs</li>
  51. <li>Click Finish, the VM will reboot</li>
  52. <li>When prompted to remove the installation media, navigate back to the Proxmox web UI and stop the VM</li>
  53. <li>Select Hardware from the left sub-navigation menu &gt; Double click the CD/DVD drive &gt; Select Do not use any media &gt; Click OK</li>
  54. <li>Select Options from the left sub-navigation menu</li>
  55. <li>Double click QEMU Guest Agent &gt; Check the Use QEMU Guest Agent box &gt; Click OK</li>

  57. <li>Click console in the left sub-navigation menu</li>
  58. <li>Login with the username and password set during the installation</li>
