  29. <h2>Installing OnlyOffice Document Server</h2>

  31. <li>Log into the Linux device</li>
  32. <li>Run the following commands in a terminal:

  35. sudo apt upgrade<br />
  36. # install postgreSQL<br />
  37. sudo apt install postgresql<br />
  38. # create the OnlyOffice database, user and grant permissions<br />
  39. sudo -i -u postgres psql -c &quot;CREATE DATABASE onlyoffice;&quot;<br />
  40. sudo -i -u postgres psql -c &quot;CREATE USER onlyoffice WITH password &#39;0nly0ff1c3&#39;;&quot;<br />
  41. sudo -i -u postgres psql -c &quot;GRANT ALL privileges ON DATABASE onlyoffice TO onlyoffice;&quot;<br />
  42. # install redis and rabbitmq<br />
  43. sudo apt install redis-server rabbitmq-server<br />
  44. # if running on the same server as nextcloud, stop apache<br />
  45. sudo systemctl stop apache2<br />
  46. # install nginx extras<br />

  68. <li>Find the trusted_domains array and add the DNS entry for the OnlyOffice host</li>

  72. <li>Press CTRL+O, Enter, CTRL+X</li>
  73. <li>Continue with the following in terminal

  79. <li>Open a web browser and navigate to http://DNSorIP:1440 to verify OnlyOffice Document Server is up and running</li>

  81. <h2>Enabling OnlyOffice Document Editing in NextCloud</h2>

  83. <li>Log into NextCloud</li>
  84. <li>Click the user avatar &gt; Apps</li>
  85. <li>Select Office &amp; text from the left navigation</li>
  86. <li>Scroll down to find the OnlyOffice app &gt; Click Download and enable</li>
  87. <li>After the download completes, click the user avatar &gt; Settings</li>
  88. <li>Click ONLYOFFICE in the left navigation</li>
  89. <li>Enter the document server URL in the Document Editing Service address field &gt; Click Save</li>
  90. <li>Click on Files in the top navigation</li>
  91. <li>Click the + icon &gt; Select New Document</li>
  92. <li>Give the document a name and press Enter</li>
  93. <li>The new document should load in a word processor inside the web browser and be ready for editing</li>
