  29. <h2>Prerequisites and Downloads</h2>

  31. <li>Download i12bretro_OUYA_commands.zip <a href="https://drive.google.com/open?id=1OgeEgZ9M4-Ym7Ldwz0bnpy0b0ZZ_vxlA" target="_blank">Download</a></li>
  32. <li>Download i12bretro_OUYA_AOSP5_image.zip <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eJzOyjwxn7V3VWHuLxwPWTg-B0xp4FP9/view?usp=sharing" target="_blank">Download</a></li>
  33. <li>Format the USB flash drive to FAT32

  35. <li>Right Click Start &gt; File Explorer</li>
  36. <li>Right Click the USB flash drive &gt; Format...</li>
  37. <li>Select FAT32 from the File System dropdown</li>
  38. <li>Make sure Quick Format is checked</li>

  44. <li>Extract the downloaded i12bretro_OUYA_AOSP5_image.zip file to the root of the USB flash drive</li>
  45. <li>Extract the downloaded i12bretro_OUYA_commands.zip</li>
  46. <li>Safely remove the flash drive and set aside for later</li>
  47. </ol>
  48. <h2>Installing Ouya USB Drivers</h2>
  49. <ol>
  50. <li>Right click Start &gt; Command Prompt (Admin)</li>
  51. <li>Paste the following commands to disable driving signing checks temporarily
  52. <div class="codeBlock">bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS<br />
  53. bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON<br />
  54. shutdown /r</div>

  56. <li>Your PC will reboot</li>
  57. <li>Connect a USB cable from the micro USB port on the back of the Ouya to your PC</li>
  58. <li>Make sure the Ouya is connected to a display via HDMI</li>
  59. <li>Power on the Ouya</li>
  60. <li>After a few seconds you should hear Windows chime that a new device has been detected</li>
  61. <li>Right click Start &gt; Device Manager</li>
  62. <li>Expand Other Devices and you should see OUYA listed</li>
  63. <li>Right click OUYA &gt; Update Driver</li>
  64. <li>Select Browse my computer for driver software</li>
  65. <li>Click the Browse... button</li>
  66. <li>Navigate to the extracted i12bretro_OUYA_commands\files\driver</li>
  67. <li>Click OK</li>
  68. <li>Make sure &quot;Include subfolders&quot; is checked, click Next</li>
  69. <li>Windows should find the correct driver for the Ouya and install it</li>
  70. <li>Navigate to the i12bretro_OUYA_commands in windows explorer</li>
  71. <li>Right click i12bretro_OUYA_commands.bat &gt; Run as administrator</li>
  72. <li>The script uses the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) to boot the Ouya into CyanogenMod recovery</li>
  73. <li>When the command prompts to &quot;--&nbsp; Setup the fastboot driver&quot;, go back to Device Manager expand Android Device</li>
  74. <li>Right click Android Bootloader Device &gt; Update Driver</li>
  75. <li>Select Browse my computer for driver software</li>
  76. <li>Click the Browse... button</li>
  77. <li>Navigate to the extracted i12bretro_OUYA_commands\files\driver</li>
  78. <li>Click OK</li>
  79. <li>Make sure &quot;Include subfolders&quot; is checked, click Next</li>
  80. <li>Windows should find the correct driver for the Ouya and install it</li>
  81. <li>Press Enter at the command prompt once the driver is installed to continue booting the Ouya to CyanogenMod recovery</li>

  83. <h2>Restore i12bretro AOSP5 Image via CyanogenMod Recovery</h2>
  84. <ol>
  85. <li>With the OUYA in CyanogenMod Recovery:</li>
  86. <li>Select Backup/Restore &gt; Restore from USB disk</li>
  87. <li>Navigate to and select the extracted i12bretro image from the USB disk clockworkmod\backup\2020-06-02.11.44.42</li>
  88. <li>Select Yes to confirm restoring the backup</li>
  89. <li>Wait several minutes for the various partitions of the image to be copied to the Ouya</li>
  90. <li>From the main menu select wipe cache partition</li>
  91. <li>Select Yes to confirm wiping the cache</li>
  92. <li>From the main menu select advanced &gt; wipe dalvik cache partition</li>
  93. <li>Select Yes to confirm wiping the dalvik cache</li>
  94. <li>From the main menu select Install zip &gt; Install zip from USB disk</li>
  95. <li>Select recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.8-ouya.zip</li>
  96. <li>Select Yes to confirm installing recovery</li>
  97. <li>From the main menu select Install zip &gt; Install zip from USB disk</li>
  98. <li>Select ouyabootmenu-mql-v2.0.4.zip</li>
  99. <li>Select Yes to confirm installing Ouya boot menu</li>
  100. <li>From the main menu select reboot device</li>
  101. <li>After a few moments the device will boot running Android 5.0 Lollipop</li>
  102. </ol>
  103. <h2>Cleaning Up</h2>

  105. <li>After successfully flashing the image to your Ouya, do the following</li>
  106. <li>Right click Start &gt; Command Prompt (Admin)</li>
  107. <li>Paste the following commands to re-enable driving signing checks
