	<li>Launch Virtualbox</li>
	<li>Create a New VM by selecting Machine &gt; New
	<p>Name: OPNSense<br />
	Machine Folder: C:\VMs<br />
	Type: BSD<br />
	Version: FreeBSD (64-bit)<br />
	Memory Size: 1024 MB<br />
	Hard disk: Create a virtual hard disk now</p>

	<li>On the Create Virtual Hard Disk dialog
	<p>Name the virtual disk image OPNSense.vdi<br />
	File size: 8 GB<br />
	Hard disk file type: VDI<br />
	Storage on physical hard disk: Dynamically Allocated</p>

	<li>Select the VM and Click Settings</li>
	<li>Select Display</li>
	<li>Slide the Video Memory to 128 MB</li>
	<li>Select Storage</li>
	<li>Click on the CD-ROM drive</li>
	<li>Select the disc dropdown to the right &gt; Choose a virtual optical disc file...</li>
	<li>Browse to and select the downloaded OPNSense .iso file</li>
	<li>Click OK</li>
	<li>Select Network</li>
	<li>Set the attached to dropdown to Bridged Adapter</li>
	<li>Click the Adapter 2 tab</li>
	<li>Check the Enable Network Adapter and set the attached to dropdown to Bridged Adapter</li>
	<li>Click OK</li>
	<li>Make sure the OPNSense VM is selected and click Start &gt; Normal</li>
	<li>Wait for the login prompt to display</li>
	<li>Login with the username installer and password opnsense</li>
	<li>Press Enter at the Welcome screen</li>
	<li>If needed, change the keymap and/or video font then select Accept these Settings &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>Select Guided installation &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>Press Enter to use the ada0 hard disk</li>
	<li>Select GPT/UEFI mode &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>Wait for OPNSense to copy files and install</li>
	<li>Type and re-type a new root password &gt; Select Accept and Set Password &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>Select Reboot &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>From the VirtualBox menu select Devices &gt; Optical Drives &gt; Remove disk from virtual drive</li>
	<li>Reset the VM by selecting Machine &gt; Reset from the VirtualBox menu</li>
	<li>Welcome to the OPNSense terminal</li>

<h2>Configuring Network Interfaces and Web UI</h2>

<ol>
	<li>At the login prompt, login with username root and the root password set earlier</li>
	<li>At the OPNSense menu, select Set interface IP address by typing 2 and pressing Enter</li>
	<li>Enter the number that corresponds to the LAN interface &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>At the DHCP prompt type n &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>Enter a LAN IP address on the same subnet as your LAN</li>
	<li>At the bit count prompt type 24 &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>Leave the IPv4 upstream gateway blank press Enter</li>
	<li>At the IPv6 WAN tracking type n &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>At the IPv6 DHCP prompt type n &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>Leave the IPv6 address blank and press Enter</li>
	<li>At the DHCP server prompt type n &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>At the revert to HTTP prompt type y &gt; Press Enter</li>
	<li>The http address of the OPNSense Web UI will be displayed</li>
	<li>Minimize the OPNSense VM and open a web browser</li>
	<li>Navigate to the web UI http address</li>
	<li>Log into the web UI with the username root and the root password set earlier</li>
