Instead of hard-coding 22 in random places, just make the following
widgets have a fixed height of 22 by default: Button, CheckBox,
ColorInput, ComboBox, RadioButton, SpinBox, TextBox.
In the future we can make this relative to the current font size,
but for now at least this centralizes the setting a bit better.
This patch removes size policies and preferred sizes, and replaces them
with min-size and max-size for each widget.
Box layout now works in 3 passes:
1) Set all items (widgets/spacers) to their min-size
2) Distribute remaining space evenly, respecting max-size
3) Place widgets one after the other, adding spacing in between
I've also added convenience helpers for setting a fixed size (which is
the same as setting min-size and max-size to the same value.)
This significantly reduces the verbosity of widget layout and makes GML
a bit more pleasant to write, too. :^)
There are three possible selection modes for a GUI::AbstractView.
- NoSelection
- SingleSelection
- MultiSelection
We don't enforce these modes fully yet, this patch mostly adds them in
place of the old "multi select" flag.
The Node API was obnoxiously requiring you to pass the model into it
all the time, simply because nodes could not find their way back to
the containing model. This patch adds a back-reference to the model
and simplifies the API.
Instead of SortingProxyModel having a column+order, we move that state
to AbstractView. When you click on a column header, the view tells the
model to resort the relevant column with the new order.
This is implemented in SortingProxyModel by simply walking all the
reified source/proxy mappings and resorting their row indexes.
Since the vast majority of message boxes should be modal, require
the parent window to be passed in, which can be nullptr for the
rare case that they don't. By it being the first argument, the
default arguments also don't need to be explicitly stated in most
cases, and it encourages passing in a parent window handle.
Fix up several message boxes that should have been modal.
Image preview widget overflow to other widgets in FilePicker dialog when image is larger than 160px. Also change the ImagePreview widget variable name for align to naming standards.
And move canonicalized_path() to a static method on LexicalPath.
This is to make it clear that FileSystemPath/canonicalized_path() only
perform *lexical* canonicalization.
Well, technically the initial sort order is 'ascending inode'.
However, that is unpredictable for the user.
In the rare case it is desired, it can be re-enabled by revealing the
inode column, and then sorting by it, in the TableView.
Now that add() returns a WidgetType&, we can't rely on the parent of a
GUI::Dialog to still keep it alive after exec() returns. This happens
because exec() will call remove_from_parent() on itself before
returning.
And so we go back to the old idiom for creating a GUI::Dialog centered
above a specific window. Just call GUI::Dialog::construct(), passing
the "parent" window as the last parameter.
Since the returned object is now owned by the callee object, we can
simply vend a ChildType&. This allows us to use "." instead of "->"
at the call site, which is quite nice. :^)
This is causing FilePicker to log a bunch of debug noise due to the
missing support for tree models in SortingProxyModel and it's not
helping anyone so let's just disable it.
This needs fixing in SortingProxyModel.
